Aisha jamila Hinds was born in the United States and is best-known for her role on The Shield. Since her 2003 debut, she has shown her range in acting providing outstanding performances on television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. First noticed in 2005 for the character of Anna that was in Assault on Precinct 13 The first time she was recognized was for her role in the 2005 biographical documentary All the Way. Hind also received high praises for her performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's drama period series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 will be renewed for another season.
