Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop-rock
boy band formed in 2009. The group is made up of Kendall Schmidt and James
Maslow and also Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed with
Nick Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records. The group was a
part of the Nickelodeon television show of the identical title, Big Time Rush.
From November 28th, 2009 to July 25, 2013, the show aired. The pilot episode
included "Big Time Rush" the group's first single for promotion. The
band released three studio albums, BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 , and 24/Seven in
2013. In 2014, the group stopped touring for an indefinite period that ran
until 2021. The band resumed live shows in the studio and came out with
"Call It Like It's Like It's Looking". Nickelodeon has signed Big
Time Rush a record contract in 2009 and was simultaneously broadcasting the
television show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon later partnered with Columbia/Epic
Label Group in order to produce the series and also provide new music. The debut
single, "Big Time Rush" was released on the show' November 29th 2009.
Officially announced on Nickelodeon The song premiered in the U.S. November
2009 and was later broadcast across the world. The show premiered during a
one-hour special preview of the series and is the current theme for the show's
opening. Promo singles, such as "City is Ours", "Any Kind of
Guy" and many more were released during the series. Big Time Rush also
covered a Play song called "Famous". The track was released on iTunes
on June 29th 2010. Another song, "Halfway There", was released to
iTunes on April 27, 2010 following its debut in the series. The track quickly
became their first hit song to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at
number 93 , thanks to the digital sales. On September 21 the 21st of September,
2010 Big Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You"
to celebrate the debut album's release. The album, called BTR It was released
on October 11, the 11th of October, 2010. The album debuted at the top of the
charts, number 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies in its first week
of its release.
