Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She is the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, and Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of the company that founded the contracting business and CEO). Stone is of Swedish, German & British Isles descent. Stone began her acting career in her early years as an Valley Youth Theatre member in Phoenix, Arizona. She first appeared on stage in Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows." She appeared in many more productions through her early teens. At 15 years old, she decided to pursue acting as a profession. The official version of the story is that she created a PowerPoint presentation, backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", in attempts to persuade parents to allow her to quit school and move to Los Angeles. After the presentation was accepted she and her mother moved to LA. She continued to study at home and was able to audition. Her TV debut in 2004 when she was cast in the role of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent show In Search of the Partridge Family. This resulted in a variety of small TV parts in the years to follow. After a string success in the role, her appearance as Olive in Easy A (2010) was her debut in a film. In Phoenix, Arizona, she went to Xavier College Preparatory. Although she's known as a redhead, her real hair shade is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair's color to be more in line with Superbad (2007). The actress was so impressed, she decided to keep her hair. At the age of 15, she convinced her parents to let her to go to Hollywood by creating a PowerPoint presentation that was appropriately named Project Hollywood. At 11 years old she started acting at the Valley Youth Theatre, Phoenix, AZ. There, she appeared in 16 stage productions and performed in the comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also a part of the Valley Youth Theatre.
