Beyonce Giselle Knowles was conceived in Houston, Texas on September 4, 1981. Tina Knowles Lawson, her mother, designs their sparkling costumes. Mathew Knowles is Destiny's Child's managing director. Solange her sister (4 years separated by four years) released her debut album. She dances with her big sister at DC-3 shows. Beyonce is of Louisiana Creole & African descent. Mathew, her father, is African-American. Tina is of Louisiana Creole origin. Her ancestors include African as well as French and include ancestors from Louisiana as well as Canada. Beyonce is also 1/32 Irish origin, and has distant Breton, Spanish, Indonesian and Chinese origins from her maternal side and also. According to some sources, she created a stage persona known as "Sasha" to get over her shyness.
