Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as the Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was a model when she was approached by a aspiring photographer. She has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against glamour, nudity and thongs when she was modeling. After being spotted by of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the film, Doody was - and remains - the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias when she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation of The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking possibly her most famous role in her career in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody came back to acting in 2003 with a minor role on the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. Her roles included an appearance in a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria tierra de film award was awarded to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. The actress also was given a star on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
